Room 5 Art Gallery Trip

On Thursday we went to the Art Gallery to do some painting of wild animals with John. I did a tabby cat and so did Emma and Sara. We had to do the eyes first, and then we went out from the eyes using a flicking brush stroke to make it look like real fur. We used green yellow black orange brown for the picture. When we were done we put dye on. I used dark blue for my background. It looked great. Then we went back to school.

The Art Gallery Trip 2012

On the 17^th of May we went to the art gallery. We saw some art on frames and lots of Jesus ones, good for Catholic schools. Then we went upstairs to do some art. I made a bunny rabbit painting. You have to do about 1,000 brush strokes. We needed to get it to look 3.D. I was the only person who did it in 3D and made it look realistic. John showed us how to do it. By Will Morris

Trip to the Art Gallery

This term we went to the Art Gallery. John showed us around the Gallery. He told us the history of the picture and the artist. We got to paint a drawing of an animal we started with the eyes. We got some thin cardboard and dipped it in white paint to make whiskers. We had prints of leaves for a back round. We also dyed them.  They look awesome.     

     

       

Golf with Melanie

Last month we did Golf with Melanie Harper. Me, James and Thor were in a group of three. First we had to tell Melanie if were right handed or left handed. Then we had to listen to Melanie for our church hand and our fence hand. We did our Golf at the rec. We had to use Golf clubs. We had to wave our flags then one of our partners had to run down to the hula-hoop to hit the ball down James hit the best he nearly hit the cricket club.  We were really good for Melanie and we were the third hoop from the school.

My Holiday in Clyde and Twizel.

I stayed at Clyde for News Year’s Eve. We had party poppers after the final countdown. Then we went to Twizel the next day. We went fishing at the canal at Pukaki and Dad caught 3 salmon. We smoked them for tea.

The Mighty Highlanders

On Saturday night I went to the first Highlanders game of the 2012 season. It was the mighty Highlanders against the crushing Crusaders. Suddenly the players came sprinting out on to the field. The most exciting bit was when the Highlanders scoring the try right in front of us. I went with Finn. I so so so happy when the Highlanders won! The Highlanders scored a try then fire burst out of the machine.
