I stayed at Clyde for News Year’s Eve. We had party poppers after the
final countdown. Then we went to Twizel the next day. We went fishing at the
canal at Pukaki and Dad caught 3 salmon. We smoked them for tea.

The Mighty Highlanders
On Saturday
night I went to the first Highlanders game of the 2012 season. It was the
mighty Highlanders against the crushing Crusaders. Suddenly the players came
sprinting out on to the field. The most exciting bit was when the Highlanders
scoring the try right in front of us. I went with Finn. I so so so happy when
the Highlanders won! The Highlanders scored a try then fire burst out of the
machine.

Visiting Mossbrae 2012!
Room 5 has just started visiting Mossbrae each term and we loved seeing the old folks smile and sing along with us. We can't wait for our next visit next term! We even sang happy birthdat to 100 year old Olive.
Amazing science news during term one!
We have had some amazing science news during the term from seeing that eggs float in salt water, making your hair stand on end, to making a rocket blast off from a chemical reaction, testing how acidic coke is, to seeing that some liquids don't mix together. Well done Room 5!
